Meet the people behind the stone.
Four decades of craftsmanship, community, and compassion.
Our Story
We're a family-owned memorial studio based in Beausejour, Manitoba, serving families across Northeastern Manitoba, rural communities, Indigenous reserves, and Northern Ontario. Our team includes Shelly Bohn and Dennis Bohn, both Certified Master Memorialists — a distinction earned through rigorous training and a genuine commitment to the families we serve.
We're members of the Canadian Monument Builders (CMB), Monument Builders of North America (MBNA), and are accredited by the Better Business Bureau. We believe arranging a memorial should never feel rushed or transactional. Every family gets our full attention, honest guidance, and a product built to last generations.
From the first conversation to the final installation, Shelly and Dennis walk alongside every family personally — no handoffs, no shortcuts. Together, their combined experience spans more than four decades of stone masonry, meaning the knowledge and care behind every memorial runs deep.

Serving Communities Others Overlook
Northern Light Memorials was built on the belief that every family — regardless of where they live — deserves access to quality memorial craftsmanship and compassionate service. While larger, city-based studios focus on urban markets, we have always prioritised the families and communities they leave behind.
- Beausejour and surrounding Northeastern Manitoba
- Rural and remote communities across Manitoba
- Indigenous families and reserves throughout the region
- Northern Ontario communities
Distance is never a barrier. Our team travels to cemeteries across the region for delivery, installation, and on-site lettering — so the families we serve never have to arrange that themselves.
